Hey y'all! It’s been a while since our last blog—time really flies when you’re having fun organizing! Since my last post, we’ve been working hard to help our clients settle into new homes and create more organized, stress-free spaces. We’re so grateful for every one of you who’s welcomed House of J into your homes. Now that spring is here, it’s the perfect time to refresh your space and your mind. Spring cleaning is all about clearing out the old and making room for the new, and what better time to do that than during
National Closet Clean-Out Week (March 6–12)

Spring cleaning has been a tradition for ages, and this year, we’re taking it up a notch by tying it in with National Closet Clean-Out Week. It’s the perfect excuse to tackle those cluttered closets, messy pantries, or any space that could use a refresh.
We’re super excited to share that we’ve partnered with Goodwill for this special week! It’s a great way to not only declutter your home but also give back. If you have items in good condition that you no longer need, we’ll help you donate them to Goodwill. It’s a win-win—clearing your space and supporting a fantastic cause that helps people in our community.

My Spring Cleaning Must-Do’s
I like to keep things simple when it comes to spring cleaning, focusing on a few key areas that make a big impact. Of course, I tackle the usual suspects like closets and drawers, but two areas I never skip are my car and fridge!
Your car is basically a moving part of your home—it collects clutter just like any room. I give it a good declutter, vacuum the floors, wipe down surfaces, and get rid of anything I don’t need. As for the fridge, it’s easy to overlook, but cleaning it out helps keep your whole kitchen feeling fresh. I throw out expired items, wipe down shelves, and reorganize so I can easily see what I have. Try adding a magnetic grocery list right to the front door so you never forget adding something to your next shopping trip.
Now let's talk about your closet -because we all have those “maybe one day” outfits taking up space. If it doesn’t fit, isn’t comfortable, or still has tags from last year, it’s time to let it go. Be ruthless with those shoes, too—if they hurt your feet just looking at them, they don’t deserve a spot on your shelf! And accessories? If you keep digging past the same tangled necklaces or unworn bags, it’s a sign to declutter. Keep what you actually wear and donate the rest. Less clutter, fewer decisions, and a closet full of things you love—now that’s a spring refresh!
These small steps make a huge difference in keeping my home (and life!) feeling organized and refreshed.

Continuing the Organization Journey
Over the past year, I’ve been so grateful to work with clients who’ve decided to keep their organization journey going with us. It’s amazing to see how a tidy, organized space can transform not just a home but life in general! I can happily take donations with me anytime we work together, even if we hadn't originally planned a full declutter session. Whether it’s keeping up with the organization after a big purge or adjusting to new routines, I’m honored to be part of your journey. For those of you who’ve been with me from the start, let’s use this spring as a chance to catch up, reassess and refresh. It’s the perfect time to tweak your spaces and get them feeling just right.
A Huge Thank You to Our Team
I can’t say this enough—our House of J team is incredible! Over the past year, this amazing crew has worked so hard to help our clients achieve their home organization goals. What makes our team truly special is our group of subcontractors. Each one brings unique experiences, skills and perspectives to the table, allowing us to offer a well-rounded approach to every project we take on. Their attention to detail, care, and dedication makes House of J what it is, and I’m beyond grateful to have such a wonderful team of good people by my side.

Spring is all about fresh starts, so why not give your home a little extra love this season? Whether you’re clearing out your closet for National Closet Clean-Out Week or doing a full-on spring clean, we’re here to help every step of the way.
If you’ve been thinking about refreshing your space, now’s the time! Give House of J a shout, and let’s create a home that brings you peace, joy, and a bit of extra breathing room!
